VANQUISH (Blue) is the original Mitsubishi VANQUISH wood shaft: an ultra-premium lightweight shaft that Mitsubishi rates high launch, mid-plus spin and mid/low kick point, in 36 to 59 gram models from R3 to X flex. We build it to order for drivers and fairway woods, and the VANQUISH VV (Green) is the other VANQUISH wood shaft we build.
Created with direct input from top players on the LPGA Tour, VANQUISH is for any player curious about what a lightweight shaft can do for club head and ball speed. Mitsubishi designed the platform to produce faster ball speeds and tighter dispersion.
Every VANQUISH (Blue) wood shaft is listed at 46 inches with a .335-inch tip and a 3-inch tip section. The model number sets the weight range: VANQUISH 3 is the lightest and VANQUISH 5 the heaviest. In step 1, the 3W, 4W and 5W Model/Flex choices are the VANQUISH 3, 4 and 5 models. Step 2 is where you pick driver or fairway wood.

High-Modulus Exotic Carbon + Super Low Resin Content Prepreg
Proprietary, exotic 46 and 40 ton carbon prepregs run the full length of the shaft for added strength and lower torque. A Super Low Resin Content prepreg drives resin content lower and carbon density higher, which Mitsubishi says gives the best possible feel, and a uniquely fortified tip section adds tip stability.
Consistent Feel + Precision Crafted Design
Consistent Feel Design reduces the variables between weights and flexes so fitting is easier, and Mitsubishi says Precision Crafted Design holds the tightest possible tolerances in weight and frequency. Mitsubishi took its inspiration from high-performance fly fishing rods: a super stable handle with an incredibly active tip section.
Both shafts share the same lightweight VANQUISH platform. Mitsubishi rates Blue, the original profile, high launch with mid-plus spin and a mid/low kick point. VV (Green) is the counterpart: Mitsubishi rates it mid-plus launch and mid spin with a mid kick point and added feedback in the handle, and says it has a higher kick point and lower launch than the original. If you want a high, active launch from a lightweight shaft, start with Blue. If you want a lower launch and more feel in the handle, look at the VANQUISH VV (Green).

The model number follows weight. VANQUISH 3 runs 36 to 43 grams in R3, R2, R, S and X. VANQUISH 4 runs 47 to 52 grams and VANQUISH 5 runs 53 to 59 grams, both in R2, R, SR, S and X. Torque falls as weight rises: 10.4 to 10.6 degrees on the 3, 5.2 to 5.4 on the 4 and 4.1 to 4.2 on the 5. To narrow it down, tell Patrick how fast you swing your driver and what you play now.
Yes. Choose driver, 3, 5, 7 or 9 wood in step 2 and we tip the shaft for that club. Mitsubishi’s tip trim guidance is 0 inches for a driver, 0.5 inches for a 3-wood, 0.75 inches for a 5-wood and 1 inch for a 7- or 9-wood.
